Dr. Aaron Pittard
Aaron Pittard, MD, is a Board-Certified Ophthalmologist with an emphasis in cataract surgery, glaucoma, diabetic eye care, and ocular infections and inflammation.
He grew up in Amarillo, Texas, and went on to earn his undergraduate degree with honors from Baylor University before beginning his medical training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. After a general medicine internship at St. Paul University Hospitals in Dallas, he completed a research fellowship at Duke University Eye Center. He then finished his ophthalmology residency at Penn State University Medical Center, serving as chief resident in his final year.
Since 2006, Dr. Pittard has been in private practice in San Antonio, where he and his wife, Jennifer, raised three wonderful children. In 2026, upon the graduation of their youngest, the new empty nesters decided it was time to get back to their roots in Amarillo. They are both excited to return to the lovely people of the Panhandle.
