Brandi Davenport Reflects on 20 Years at Panhandle Eye Group

For the past 20 years, Brandi Davenport has been a steady presence at Panhandle Eye Group. Dr. Klein’s patients know her by name, and coworkers know they can count on her.

Brandi joined Dr. Klein’s practice shortly after graduating from administrative medical school. She was looking for a position in the medical field when she saw an opening at Klein Eye Center and decided to apply. What started as a hopeful opportunity turned into a long career built on relationships, growth, and loyalty.

“I’ve grown a lot,” Brandi said. “Twenty years is a long time. Panhandle Eye Group has taught me a whole lot.” Brandi describes herself as someone who stays loyal to the places and people that matter to her. That mindset shows in the way she talks about her future at Panhandle Eye Group. She hopes to retire here one day and joked that she might still have another 20 years left in her.

Over the years, she has learned every part of working in a busy medical office, from helping patients to adapting to changes within the practice. She was there when Dr. Klein first joined Panhandle Eye Group in 2007, an experience she remembers as an important learning opportunity early in her career.

“We learned a lot more,” she said. “We were part of a group now, so I liked having help from so many people who worked with different doctors.”

One of the things Brandi values most is the connection she has built with patients. Many have been coming to the office for years, and they still recognize her the moment they walk in. “They look forward to seeing me,” she said. “They say I’m one of the only faces they remember.”

Those relationships are a big part of what has kept her here for two decades. She says the atmosphere at the office and the people she works with have made all the difference. “Seeing my coworkers,” Brandi said when asked what she enjoys most about her days. “We all have fun. And then the patients, too. I have a great relationship with a lot of these patients that we’ve been seeing for a long time.”

She also credits Dr. Klein for helping shape her experience at the group. “Dr. Klein and I’s bond is really, really good,” she said. “He’s a laid-back doctor, so he’s really easy to work for.”

When asked what he had to say about Brandi’s milestone, Dr. Klein perfectly showcased that bond, “I don’t know what I’d do without her. She keeps up with the clinic better than most anyone.”

Looking back, Brandi says the milestone still feels hard to believe. “Time has flown by,” she said. “It really doesn’t even seem like 20 years.”

Her dedication, consistency, and connection with patients have made a lasting impact on the practice. We are grateful for everything Brandi has brought to Panhandle Eye Group over the last 20 years and look forward to celebrating many more milestones with her.
